Candidate Ghosting Is a Process Problem, Not a Normal Hiring Stage
A hiring process can be selective without being silent. Candidates can handle rejection. What damages trust is spending time on an application, assessment or interview and receiving no final state at all.

Silence hides operational problems
When applications can remain open forever, overloaded teams, stale roles and forgotten candidates all look the same from the outside. A visible state forces the process to distinguish them.
Use response goals
A response goal creates an expectation without pretending every company can move at the same speed. The useful signal is whether the team consistently acts within the expectation it set.
Require a final outcome
Selected, not selected, withdrawn and role closed are all legitimate final states. Endless pending is not.
Make reliability observable
Over time, recruiter reliability can be based on actual platform behavior such as closure rate and response timing rather than a self-written promise.
Closure is part of the product
ClockIN treats closure as infrastructure because trust is created by repeated behavior. A candidate should know where an application stands and a hiring team should be able to see what is overdue.
